AUSTIN, Texas (May 26, 2026)—The Texas Nuclear Alliance (TNA) proudly welcomes as a member the Greater Brazos Partnership (GBP), an organization dedicated to driving economic growth and investment in the Greater Brazos Region.
“The Greater Brazos Partnership plays an important role in advancing economic growth across the Greater Brazos Region, including in sectors of national interest such as energy, semiconductors, aerospace, and defense,” said Reed Clay, President of the Texas Nuclear Alliance. “TNA is proud to partner with GBP, whose support for Texas A&M’s Energy Proving Ground and the region’s advanced energy ecosystem is helping strengthen Texas as a national leader in next-generation energy technologies.”
Located in the center of the Texas Triangle, the Greater Brazos Region offers strategic access to one of the largest and fastest-growing economic corridors in the United States. Combined with the research capabilities of Texas A&M University and access to a growing workforce and industrial base, the region is well positioned to support the future growth of advanced energy and nuclear technologies in Texas.
“The Greater Brazos Region is rapidly emerging as one of the most important nuclear innovation clusters in the country. With Texas A&M University’s largest and nationally recognized nuclear engineering program, world-class research capabilities, and applied research environment at the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus, our region is building the foundation for long-term leadership in advanced nuclear technologies. Alongside that, we are working with the university and technical workforce programs across the region to build the workforce readiness pipeline needed to support nuclear and SMR deployment,” said Tom Johnson, President & CEO of the Greater Brazos Partnership.
“Energy security and domestic technology leadership have become matters of national interest, and the Greater Brazos Region is uniquely positioned to support the next generation of energy innovation,” said Salman Khan, Vice President of Economic Development at the Greater Brazos Partnership.
GBP’s membership in the Texas Nuclear Alliance strengthens the organization’s ability to support the growth of the advanced nuclear sector in Texas by connecting industry, research, workforce, and commercialization opportunities.

About the Texas Nuclear Alliance
TNA is the only industry association in Texas dedicated to the advancement of nuclear technology in the state. Formed in 2022 in the aftermath of Winter Storm Uri, and comprising ofover 70 member entities today, TNA is based on the fundamental premise that if Texas and the world want low-carbon, reliable energy, it can no longer turn its back on nuclear energy. In the 89th Texas Legislature, TNA helped pass four nuclear-dedicated bills, including House Bill 14, a $350 million investment by the state in nuclear energy—the largest of its kind in the U.S—that led to the creation of the Texas Advanced Nuclear Energy Office (TANEO). TNA was formed with a singular mission: to make Texas the Nuclear Capital of the World. Nuclear is clean, safe, reliable, and secure.
