AUSTIN, Texas (May 12, 2026)—The Texas Nuclear Alliance (TNA) is proud to welcome as a member HGP Intelligent Energy, a Texas-based energy and technology development company focused on repurposing proven nuclear propulsion technology for commercial power generation.

“HGP Intelligent Energy is playing a critical role in advancing nuclear energy innovation right here in Texas,” said Reed Clay, President of the Texas Nuclear Alliance. “Their efforts are strengthening grid reliability at a time of unprecedented power demand growth and helping deliver a more stable, safe, and reliable energy future for our state.”

“ERCOT needs reliable steel in the ground. HGP’s principals have been developing, deploying, and operating critical grid-support assets in ERCOT since 2013, and we are now applying that same operator’s discipline, paired with proprietary technology and a deep IP portfolio, to bring advanced nuclear to commercial scale. TNA is exactly the right coalition to help make Texas the nuclear capital of the world.” – Gregory A. Forero, Founder and CEO, HGP Intelligent Energy.

About the Texas Nuclear Alliance

TNA is the only industry association in Texas dedicated to the advancement of nuclear technology in the state. Formed in 2022 in the aftermath of Winter Storm Uri, and comprising ofover 70 member entities today, TNA is based on the fundamental premise that if Texas and the world want low-carbon, reliable energy, it can no longer turn its back on nuclear energy. In the 89th Texas Legislature, TNA helped pass four nuclear-dedicated bills, including House Bill 14, a $350 million investment by the state in nuclear energy—the largest of its kind in the U.S—that led to the creation of the Texas Advanced Nuclear Energy Office (TANEO). TNA was formed with a singular mission: to make Texas the Nuclear Capital of the World. Nuclear is clean, safe, reliable, and secure.
