Last Energy Joins Texas Nuclear Alliance as a Founding Member
AUSTIN, Texas (February 5, 2025) – The Texas Nuclear Alliance (TNA) proudly welcomes Last Energy, a micro-nuclear technology developer committed to unleashing nuclear energy at scale through plant mass-manufacturability, as a Founding Member.
“Last Energy is revolutionizing the nuclear energy industry with their full-service delivery model that emphasizes efficiency and access to reliable, affordable power,” said TNA President Reed Clay. “Last Energy’s institutional knowledge in global markets makes this partnership important at a time when Texas is increasingly interested in advanced nuclear technology for its potential to enhance grid reliability and boost the Texas Miracle.”
“Texas has always been the center of gravity for American energy, and is now poised to become a hub for new nuclear development over the coming years and decades,” said Last Energy Vice President of Government Relations Ryan Duncan. “Industry and government are coming together in Texas to unlock the potential of nuclear, which will go a long way to bolster the grid and power Texas’ growing data center industry. The Texas Nuclear Alliance will play a critical role in seeing these goals through.”
About Last Energy
Founded in 2019, Last Energy is a micro-nuclear technology developer with the goal of enabling global clean energy access and decarbonization in a way that is rapid, scalable, and economically competitive. Last Energy’s first product, the PWR-20 micro-nuclear power plant, is designed to address the inefficiencies that have traditionally made nuclear development prohibitively complex and expensive. By owning all aspects of plant delivery and dramatically reducing the time and cost of construction, Last Energy is transforming the nuclear power industry to unlock clean, reliable baseload energy for data centers and industrial customers.
About the Texas Nuclear Alliance
TNA is the only industry association in Texas dedicated to the advancement of nuclear technology in the state. TNA was formed with a singular mission: to make Texas the Nuclear Capital of the World. Formed in 2022 in the aftermath of Winter Storm Uri, TNA is based on the fundamental premise that if Texas and the world want low-carbon, reliable energy, it can no longer turn its back on nuclear energy. Nuclear is clean, safe, reliable, and secure.
